SITE PLAN APPROVED!

First Avenue Apartments by HP Capital Group and Tandem Partners

St. Pete-based HP Capital Group and Chicago-based Tandem Partners filed plans for a 19-story residential building at 1641 and 1659 1st Avenue North in downtown St. Pete. Yesterday, those plans were approved by the city of St. Petersburg’s Development Review Committee!

The apartments will stand in a 19-story building with 224 units. The building will include parking on the first through fourth floors with a total of 256 parking spaces and 236 bicycle spaces.

Floors 5-18 will house the residential units while most amenities will be enjoyed on the rooftop. Tampa-based BDG Architects designed the building.

"We are very proud of our beautiful downtown community and are excited to be part of its development,” says Fred Hemmer, Principal at HP Capital Group. “We think this building has been designed to fit the growing needs of the Tropicana Field area and will complement the other adjacent developments.”

Next up, HP Capital is looking forward to going before the Pinellas County Commission on May 10th, 2022 in order to secure $5.6 million in funding for Fairfield Apartments, an affordable and workforce housing development.

A joyous occasion for all involved with Reflection St. Pete as the entire team convened at the site to officially commemorate the beginning of construction! The development team, HP Capital Group, along with KW Commercial, KAST, Clear pH, SMP Architecture, DAG Architecture, Kimley Horne, and many new homeowners were all on hand to celebrate the momentous occasion!

We kicked off the event with opening remarks by Fred Hemmer, followed by City Council Members Brandi Gabbard and Ed Montanari, who described what the growth of the new residences means for the city. Angelo Cappelli closed the speeches and turned over the first golden shovel full of dirt.

After the gathering at 777 3rd Ave N, everyone headed over to Webb’s City Cellar by Green Bench Brewing Company for an afternoon of fun, food, and fiesta! The delicious dinner was catered by Bodega and the treats by La Segunda.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, we had a blast with you and can’t wait to see you again soon!
